Ron Fletcher was first introduced to pianos by his grandfather Ron passed away in 2019 , who secured him an apprenticeship at Palings in Waterloo, Sydney many years ago. After completing his training at Palings Music, Ron went on to become a piano store manager and chief tuner in Newcastle, Wollongong and Sydney. Thanks to his professional background, Ron can build a piano from scratch and is also a trained pianola restorer and technician, with more than 55 years’ experience.
Corey Fletcher was trained by Ron over six years, making Fletcher Pianos a third generation business. Skilled in all aspects of piano tuning and repair, repolishing and removals. Having been in the family business for over 33 years, Corey is continuing the tradition and it’s hoped that the company will be taken on by the next generation of Fletchers.Jack Fletcher now 3rd year aprentice and helping out as well.
Both Corey and Ron have tuned pianos for many people over the years, including Marsha Hinnes ;Roger Woodward , Jimmy Barnes, as well as Neil Sadarka, Delta Goodrem and various others.
Tuning costs: The tuning fee for Newcastle/Central Coast is $180.00, with all other parts of NSW $190.00 to $220. Corey regularly travels to most parts of NSW.

- Re-felting of the interiors of pianos, grands and pianolas
- Re-polishing outside timberwork as required to as new condition.

At Fletcher Pianos, we professionally re-polish around 30 pianos, grand pianos every year, making them look as good as new. We’re one of very few business that provides this specialist service and are incredibly busy, so call us today if this is the service you need.

Delivery
We deliver all instruments in our specially built piano float, which is fully enclosed, and we can tackle most terrains for added convenience. We can also provide quality advice on transportation and the effects of climate differences on your piano, tuning your piano on delivery is no problem if it has come from same climate example coastal town to coastal town or If the piano is moved coast to country or visa versa then a settle in period of a week should happen if available.
